RKM Utilities was founded by Mike Richardson, who embarked on this journey after several years in senior managerial roles. Since our inception in 2019, we have amassed over 35 years of experience in Renewable technologies, telecoms engineering. With the addition of Traffic Management and Civils capabilities, RKM now offers a complete turnkey service for telecoms, power, and road management.

Telecoms

RKM provides a range of fibre cabling services, such as installation, network rearrangement, splicing, testing, and commissioning. They also offer air blown fiber installations, capacity surveying, resilience planning, and network auditing/verification services. Our teams are experienced in finding innovative solutions to lower civil costs and improve project delivery.

Traffic Management

Services offered include design, planning, and consultation with local authorities and stakeholders, road closures and diversions with advanced warning, installation of multi-phase temporary traffic lights, lane closures and narrowing, and provision of specialised contra-flow and priority traffic management systems. They also offer pedestrian signals and management systems, signal switching, speed restricted convoy systems, and compliant CAD drawings and plans for any scheme.

Civil Engineering & Construction

Services offered by the company include installation of ducting and chambers, maintenance excavations, trial holes, duct blockage clearance, cabinet capacity upgrades, gully emptying and de-silting, and high-pressure water jetting. These services aim to ensure the integrity and functionality of underground infrastructure, prevent delays, and maintain a clean and compliant environment.
